DSP in 'Developing Communication Skills'

DSP in 'Cultural Tour Guide - 2nd cohort' concluded on 31 August 2024. 45 De-suups participated in the course and was held for 5 months at the DSP Training Centre, Phaduna, Punakha. The intensive course aligns with the curriculum of the BQF Certificate II under TVET Quality Control. In addition to the core content, the course included training in communication skills, social etiquette, and an introduction to foreign languages and culture. 14 De-suups were declared as ‘Competent’. De-suups who were declared as ‘incompetent’ will be sitting for coaching and reassessment.

Dasho Tashi Dorji (Chairperson, DSP) was the Chief Guest during the closing ceremony and awarded certificates to the trainees. Mr. Garab Dorji (Chairman, Guide Association of Bhutan), Mr. Phuntsho (Offtg. Director, Department of Tourism), Mr. Robin Wangdi (Lead coordinator, Tour Guide Course) attended the program.
