The De-suung Skilling Programme (DSP) invites eligible candidates to apply for the

DSP Study Abroad Program in partnership with Kingston International College and

Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. This exciting international opportunity enables

Bhutanese De-suups to further their professional skills through globally recognised

education and practical industry training.

Successful candidates will undertake internationally accredited programs designed to

prepare them for high-demand careers in hospitality, early childhood education and care.

Program Highlights

• Study Destination: Perth, Western Australia

• Institutions: Kingston International College & Murdoch University (Packaged

Pathway)

• Intake: July 2026

• Course Duration: 3–4 Years

• Total Seats: 45 Candidates (15 candidates in each stream) 

Available Fields of Study

Applicants can pursue studies in the following professional areas:

Hospitality (Culinary Arts)

• Diploma of Hospitality (Commercial Cookery Stream) + Bachelor of Business

(Tourism and Hospitality).

Early Childhood Education & Care (Community Services)

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care + Bachelor of Arts (International

Aid and Development nec)

Individual Support (Community Services)

• Diploma of Community Services (Aged Care) + Bachelor of Arts (Community

Development nec)

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the DSP Study Abroad Program, candidates must meet the following

requirements:

• Must be a registered De-suup

• Must be under 30 years old at the time of course commencement

• Must have successfully completed appropriate DSP Skilling Courses

(foundation) 

• Must have completed at least Australian Year 10 or equivalent education.

• Must have IELTS score of 6.5 (no band less than 5.5) or equivalent English

test (PTE or TOEFL iBT).

• Must possess a valid Bhutanese driving licence 

Important Notes

• Applicants who meet other eligibility criteria may submit their English proficiency

certificate by the end of April 2026.

• The driving licence can be submitted by the first week of May 2026.

With the reference to the approved Note Vide HMS/DSP/Skilling Program/2025/0354 dated 19th May 2025 for recruitment of Course Coordinator. The vacancy is hereby announced as below:

The recruitment announcement for Phase III will be published on 2nd June 2025, with the application deadline set for the 10th of June 2025. This schedule ensures sufficient time for outreach to potential candidates while allowing a through selection process.

Following the application period, the recruitment process will proceed as follows:

1.11th June 2025: Screening of applications

2.12th June 2025: Interviews and final selection

3.13th June 2025: Issuance of office order and onboarding preparation


Shortlisting Criteria:

1.Minimum Academic Requirement:


ü Class X-Minimum 55% aggregate (English+ best 4 Subject)

ü Class XII-Minimum 55% aggregate (English + best 3 subject)

ü Bachelor’s Degree-Minimum 60%


2.Merit-Bases Shortlisting:

ü If there are more than 20 eligible applicants, a merit rank will be created based on the following weighted aggregate:

a.15 % of class X aggregate

b.25 % of class XII aggregate

c.60 % of bachelor’s degree aggregate


3.Bonus Points for experience:

a.2 years of relevant professional experience: +5 bonus points

b.More than 3 years of relevant professional experience: + 10 bonus points

12General Responsibilities1 Coordinate and oversee daily activities and tasks within specific program areas or teams.
  2Supervise and support team members, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.

  4 Identify training needs and opportunities for team members, facilitating professional development.
